  • You can easily request your free meet and greet or evaluation by filling out the contact form here. We will get back to you via email within 24 hours. After that a meet and greet and/or evaluation will be scheduled. Once the meet and greet is completed you will be all set to begin requesting services!

  • We service Elmhurst, Villa Park, Lombard and Naperville communities. At this time we only provide services for people who live in those communities.

  • Scheduling is easy with our Time to Pet portal. Once a meet and greet or evaluation is complete, you will have access to your personal pet portal. You are able to schedule individual services or recurring services right through the portal. Here is a help article for scheduling services.

  • Yes! Time to Pet offers a FREE app that can be downloaded from the App Store on Apple devices or Google Play on Android devices.

  • For dog walks you have until 9am the day of to cancel your visit with no cancellation fee. All services canceled the same day after 9am will be charged a cancellation fee of the full visit price. For pet sitting services we require a minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellation. For all pet sitting services canceled within the 24 hour window will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the services canceled. We do this as our staff relies on the visits for income.

  • Dog Walks are available 9 am to 6 pm. Dog Walks are available 7 days per week

    Midday visits are scheduled between the hours of 1030 am and 230 pm Monday - Friday

    After hours and weekend walks are available for an additional $5

  • Yes! Our staff is comprised of individuals who have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes. We are able to walk all your dogs together or individually, whichever you prefer. We also offer a few different visit lengths that can accommodate dogs being walked together or separately.

  • All pet sitting services are provided in your home. We have found that pets do best when left in an environment they are comfortable and familiar with. We do not offer boarding services.

  • For dog pet sitting, we offer 3 or 4 visits per day spaced out evenly. For 3 visits per day visits will be wake up, afternoon and bedtime. For 4 visits per day, visits will be wake up, midday, dinner and bedtime.

    For cats and small caged animals we offer 1 or 2 visits per day. For 1 visit per day visits will be either in the morning or in the afternoon. For 2 visits per day, visits will be morning and afternoon.

  • All invoicing is done through our Time to Pet portal. Invoices are emailed on the last day of services for pet sitting and as needed midday walks. For regular midday walks on templates invoicing is done every two weeks.

  • All payments can be made right in the Time to Pet portal on your invoice. When your invoice is emailed to you, there is a pay now button that will take you to payments within the portal. Once there, you are able to pay via credit card, debit card or PayPal.

  • We do not offer overnights at this time. We do offer late night visits and early wake ups. Late night visits are made between 930pm and 10pm. Early wake up visits are made between 630am and 7am.

  • We use lockboxes for access to homes. Lockboxes can be provided by you, the client, or by us for a refundable deposit of $25. We also will use garage codes or pin pad door codes to access your home.

  • Lockboxes are devices that can be securely attached to your home, door knob fence or grill. These devices are where keys for your home can be stored. Lockboxes provided by The Pet Lady will be realtor style lockboxes and will be attached to your door, fence or grill. There is a one time $25 fee for The Pet Lady to provide a lockbox for your home.

  • At the initial meet and greet, you will be able to meet your primary walker or sitter. We do work as a team, so once your pet is on our schedules, we will introduce a back up staff member. If you want to meet a new staff member, you can request a meet and greet with that staff member for a $15 fee.

  • After each visit you will be sent an update on how our visit with your pet went. We provide detailed information regarding how walks went, what potties happened while we were with your pet as well as if anything looks off with your pet or home for security. For pet sitting services, your updates will include feeding and medications along with any additional information pertaining to our visits. The updates are sent via email and text message. You have the ability to respond to both emails and texts and your responses go directly to the staff caring for your pets.

  • We provide services in all weather conditions as long as it is safe to do so. We do have hot and cold weather policies, which we take into account your pets’ breed, age and size and turn all walks into potty breaks with supplemental play inside. We turn all walks during temperatures above 95 degrees and below 10 degrees into potty breaks with indoor play. For natural disaster emergencies, we provide services as it is safe to do so and we ensure at least one of our staff members will be able to make it to your home to see your pets within the time frame of the scheduled visits. If we are unable to make a visit due to extreme weather or natural disaster we will contact you and your emergency contact listed in your profile to make arrangements.

  • Yes! We work 365 days per year to care for our clients' pets. Holidays include: Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. There is an $8 additional fee per visit on all holidays.

  • We are insured and bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas who specialize in insuring pet sitters and dog walkers.
